4 die in auto crash in Benue

Nigeria (Benue) Four persons were, Thursday, burnt to death in an auto crash involving a trailer and a J-5 bus on the  Makurdi Bank Road in Benue State.
It was gathered that the J-5 bus was conveying the four persons, who were believed to be traders, from Aba, Abia State to one of the northern states, when the slept off on the wheels and rammed into a stationary trailer.
A source said,  "this J-5 overtook my car before the Makurdi mechanic village and the way the driver drove recklessly, I just had a premonition that something unfortunate could happen.
"I was driving behind the J-5 driver, when I noticed that the bus was gradually skidding off the road, which could have been as a result of sleep because it was as if they drove all night from East.
"Unfortunately, we saw the bus plunge into the parked trailer, just like a movie, and the bus immediately exploded," the source added.
It was learnt that nobody could go near the burning bus to rescue its four occupants because of the intensity of the flames.
Officials of Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC, were seen much later, emoving the burnt copses from the crash site.
