*Adams Oshiomhole (Nigeria) The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State has suspended the National Chairman of the party, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, over his role in the crisis rocking the state chapter of the party.

*Ahmad Lawan, Senate President (Nigeria) President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has said for the country to overcome the challenges posed by the African Continental Free Trade Agreement entered into by the Federal Government, local producers must live up to the billing of the forces of a competitive market.

*Omoyele Sowore (Nigeria) A non governmental organisation, the Centre for Law and Civil Culture, has called on President Muhammad Buhari, to direct the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, to ensure that the Department of State Security, DSS, release Omoyele Sowore, forthwith.  

*Omoyele Sowore (Nigeria) Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has condemned “violent attacks on peaceful protesters demanding the release of Omoyele Sowore and Olawale Bakare as ordered by the court.”

*Senate President, Ahmad Lawan (Nigeria) President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, on Tuesday said officials of government conniving with criminals involved in vandalising oil pipelines should be sanctioned and prosecuted if identified. Lawan stated this in his remarks after the consideration of the report of the Ad-Hoc Committee on Pipeline Explosions during plenary.
