Edo 2016: Edebiri says he is a winning factor for PDP

(Nigeria) Edo State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship aspirant, Chief Solomon Edebiri, has assured that the party's ticket for him will translate to victory in the forth coming governorship election in the state.
Edebiri said this when he visited the state Working Committee at the state secretariat during the week to officially declare his intention to contest the September gubernatorial polls on the party's platform.
Edebiri who was also kicking off his state wide party tour ahead of the party primary sometime in June/July, promised to revamp the dead industries in the state if giving the chance.
"Every time i realize that all the viable industries that were established by our founding fathers are dead , I lament and pray for an opportunity to be in administration to revive them.
"Go round the state, you will see that the industries inherited by Edo state such as Bendel line, Edo Pharmaceuticals, Bendel Insurance,  Bendel United, Bendel Brewery etc are no more. This is unacceptable in the face of growing unemployment in the state," he said.
Edebiri who promised to reverse this trend if given the PDP ticket which he promised will become a winning ticket also assured he will be a unifier amongst all the varying interests within the party.
Responding, the State PDP chairman commended Edebiri for his matured and intelligent speech that was issue based and devoid of personal attacks on other aspirants and admonished him to continue in that path as he goes about his sensitization tour of the State.
He pointed out that with the credentials, intelligence and maturity of Edebiri, he was qualified to vie for the position of the President of the country.
Edebiri also visited the Secretariat of the State Youth Council where he was received by the Chairman Comrade Ajayi.
He told the youth leader of his desire to help sensitize the youths to abhor electoral violence because the youths were the ones who are the victims of such violence.
