Armenians protest against electricity price hike

Mass protests against the increase in electricity prices continue in the Armenian capital for the sixth day. According to AP, the protesters promise to give an answer on Sunday to the proposal by the country’s president Serzh Sargsyan on the audit of the Electric Networks of Armenia distribution company. Until its completion, the government is ready to cover the costs connected with the rise in electricity prices. Sargsyan also did not rule out the possibility of nationalizing this company following this inspection. "Until the audit conclusion the government will take over the whole burden of the increase in electricity prices," the president told a meeting of the officials in charge of the country’s economic policy on Saturday. Kidnapped Kogi High judge released

(Nigeria) The Kogi High Court Judge, Justice Samuel Obayomi, who was abducted on May 25, has been released by the kidnappers, after spending 34 days in their custody. Mr Samuel Ogunjemilusi, the Commissioner of Police in Kogi ,who confirmed the release of the Judge, said on Sunday in Lokoja that Obayomi was released Saturday night between 10:00 and 11:30. Ogunjemilusi, who could not say where and how the judge was released, or if any ransom was paid, however disclosed that the victim was yet to be released to his family, but had been taken to a safe place Chief Judge of the state, Justice Nasir Ajanah, who also confirmed the release in a telephone interview expressed gratitude to God. “We thank God for his release but I cannot give you more information than you already have," he said.
